Physician - DLR SpineWand
DLR SpineWand® Surgical Device:
Designed for use in large discs, the DLR SpineWand uses
Coblation technology to remove tissue to create channels within the nucleus of the
intervertebral disc. The effect of tissue removal from within the disc is hydraulic
decompression of the disc.
The DLR surgical device is a single-patient use, disposable
surgical device. It cannot be re-sterilized or re-used.
The DLR comes in a 'Convenience Pack', which includes the SpineWand, a 17 gauge introducer cannula for minimally
invasive access into the disc and the Instructions For Use.
The DLR SpineWand is configured for use with the ArthroCare System 2000 generator. To perform the procedure
using the DLR SpineWand, the physician will need the DLR Convenience Pack, the System
2000 generator, a sterile patient cable, and a foot controller.
